Family Information Service
The Essex Family Information Service gives free unbiased information to parents and carers of children and young people up to the age of 20. They provide information regarding the different types of childcare and support services available in Essex. They can help if you are looking for Ofsted registered childcare provision, including child minders, pre-schools, private day nurseries and out of school clubs.
The Family Information Service is open Monday - Thursday from 8.30am - 5.30pm and on Friday from 8.30am - 5pm.

National Childminding Association

Community Family Centre Canvey Island Breakfast Club, After Schools Club and Holiday Play Schemes
The Canvey Children's Community Centre provides a breakfast club daily from 7.30am for pupils attending St. Josephs, William Read and Canvey Infants/Juniors. They will also escort pupils to school. They support pupils aged 3 - 11 and families by providing after schools clubs every weekday from 3.15pm - 5.00pm at the CCCC (based at Furtherwick Park School). Holiday play schemes also run at the Community Centre from 9.30am - 3.30pm (extra hours available on request) throughout school holidays for ages 3 - 11 years. Busy Bears Club - Northwick Park Primary School
The Busy Bears Club, which is based at Northwick Park Primary School opens from 7.30am - 6.00pm all year round (excluding 24 December - 1 January). It offers a breakfast club, pre-school, full day care for 2-4 year olds, an after school club and a holiday club. For more information call 01268 511863.
